PROTEUX | Global Energy
Proteux is a vertically integrated Energy Company and is active in every area of the Oil, Coil and Natural Gas industry, including exploration, distribution and marketing, petrochemicals, power generation and trading.
Proteux Corp., or Proteux Global Energy is a multinational oil and gas company incorporated in the United States of America and headquartered in the Florida State.
Proteux operations are every aspect of the Oil, Gas, Coal, Renewable and Geothermal Global Energy industries, including marketing and transport; chemicals trading and sales; and power generation.
Energy operations include geothermal, solar, wind, biofuel, fuel cells, and hydrogen.
Proteux’s downstream operations sell fuels, lubricants, additives and petrochemicals.
It has renewable energy activities in the form of biofuels. It has operations in five continents.
The development of technical and commercial expertise in all stages of trading and marketing established the core competencies on which the company was founded.
Similar competencies were required for natural gas, which has become one of the most important businesses in which Proteux is involved.
Proteux is organized into five major business groupings
Manages the Upstream business outside the Americas. It trades in crude oil and natural gas, liquefies and transports gas, and finds the upstream and midstream infrastructure necessary to deliver oil and gas to the market. Its activities are organized primarily within geographic units, although there are some activities that are managed across the business or provided through support units.
Manages the Upstream business in North and South America. It trades crude oil, derivatives and natural gas, transports gas and helps with the infrastructure necessary to deliver oil and gas to market.
Upstream Americas also trades with bitumen from oil sands that is converted into synthetic crude oil. It comprises operations organized into business-wide managed activities and supporting activities.
The Proteux’s Unit named Heleox manages Proteux’s marketing activities for oil chemicals products.
The downstream business, which in some countries , generally included lubricants manufacture and marketing, industrial fuel and lubricants sales and a host of other product/market sectors such as bitumen.
The practice in Proteux was that these businesses were essentially local and that they were best managed by local “operating companies” – often with middle and senior management reinforced.
Today, virtually all of Proteux’s operations in various businesses are much more directly managed from the U.S.A.
The autonomy of “operating companies” has been largely removed, as more “global businesses” have been created.
Lubricants are made up of a mixture of hydrocarbons and , and the distillation process aims to separate this crude oil into broad categories of its component hydrocarbons, or “fractions.” Crude oil is first heated and then put into a distillation column, also known as a still, where different products boil off and are recovered at different temperatures.
Proteux Lubes in an international supplier of lubricants, chemicals and car care including car, boat and motorcycle engine oils.
We provide a variety of high quality engine oils for all makes and models.
Proteux’s primary business is the management of a vertically integrated oil company. The development of technical and commercial expertise in all stages of this vertical trading and marketing established the core competencies on which the company was founded. Similar competencies were required for natural gas, which has become one of the most important businesses in which Proteux is involved, and which contributes a significant proportion of the company’s profits.
Natural gas is a fossil fuel formed when layers of buried plants and animals are exposed to intense heat and pressure over thousands of years. Natural gas is combusted to generate electricity, enabling this stored energy to be transformed into usable power. Shale gas refers to natural gas that is trapped within shale formations. The production of natural gas from shale formations has rejuvenated the natural gas industry in the United States.
The popularity and availability of clean diesel continues to grow. Consumers with 2007 or later model year diesel vehicles should only fuel them with ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD). ULSD is a cleaner-burning diesel fuel that contains 97% less sulfur than low-sulfur diesel (LSD). ULSD was developed to allow the use of improved pollution control devices that reduce diesel emissions more effectively but can be damaged by sulfur. It is also safe to use with older diesels.
With more currently available diesel vehicle options for their cars, pickups and SUVs, diesel auto sales are expected to significantly increase. New Diesel Technology
Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) is a cleaner-burning diesel fuel containing a maximum 15 parts-per-million (ppm) sulfur.
Proteux is a fuel supplier of gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel products to businesses worldwide. Jet fuel is a type of aviation fuel designed for use in aircraft powered by gas-turbine engines. It is clear to straw-colored in appearance. The most commonly used fuels for commercial aviation are Jet A and Jet A-1 which are produced to a standardized international specification.
Businesses or individuals may contact Proteux for delivery of all petroleum products We trade – in any quantity.
By working with Proteux, jet fuel buyers can establish a long-term, flexible, and cost effective relationship with us working through a worldwide network. In Proteux we are focused on providing optimum fueling solutions to benefit our wide range of customers.
Coal is a fossil fuel formed from the decomposition of organic materials that have been subjected to geologic heat and pressure over millions of years. Coal is considered a nonrenewable resource because it cannot be replenished on a human time frame.
The activities involved in generating electricity from coal include mining, transport to power plants, and burning of the coal in power plants. Initially, coal is extracted from surface or underground mines. The coal is often cleaned or washed at the coal mine to remove impurities before it is transported to the power plant—usually by train, barge, or truck. Finally, at the power plant, coal is commonly burned in a boiler to produce steam. The steam is run through a turbine to generate electricity. Of all the fossil-fuel sources, coal is the least expensive for its energy content.
Unlike other renewable energy sources, biomass can be converted directly into liquid fuels, called “biofuels,” to help meet transportation fuel needs. The two most common types of biofuels in use today are ethanol and biodiesel.
Ethanol is an alcohol, the same as in beer and wine (although ethanol used as a fuel is modified to make it undrinkable). It is most commonly made by fermenting any biomass high in carbohydrates through a process similar to beer brewing.
Ethanol is mostly used as blending agent with gasoline to increase octane and cut down carbon monoxide and other smog-causing emissions. Biodiesel is made by combining alcohol (usually methanol) with vegetable oil, animal fat, or recycled cooking grease. Research into the production of liquid transportation fuels from microscopic algae, or microalgae.

Proteux is one of the World’s Petrochemicals Traders and delivers cracker products, glycols, industrial gases, alcohols, plasticizers and acrylics.
Chemicals derived from petroleum or natural gas – petrochemicals – are an essential part of the chemical industry today. Petrochemicals do not reach the final consumer; they are first sold to customer industries, undergo several transformations, and then go into products that seem to bear no relation whatsoever to the initial raw material. Only about five percent of the oil and gas consumed each year is needed to make all the petrochemical products.
Petrochemicals have had a dramatic impact on our food, clothing, shelter and leisure. Some synthetics, tailored for particular uses, actually perform better than products made by nature because of their unique properties.
